Novavax는 프로토타입 COVID-19 백신에 대한 미국 긴급 사용 승인을 기다리고 있으며 이를 시장에 출시하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 현재까지 생성된 임상 데이터는 이 프로토타입 백신이 Omicron BA.4/5와 같은 순환 변이체에 대한 면역 반응을 포함하여 광범위한 면역 반응을 제공한다는 것을 보여줍니다. 

Novavax는 이미 변형 프로그램에서 잘 진행 중이며 6월 30 일 FDA 지침에서 권장한 대로 Omicron BA.4/5에 대한 집중을 가속화할 것입니다 . 늦여름이나 가을에 오미크론 BA.4/5에 대한 추가 전임상 데이터가 있을 것으로 예상하고 올해 4분기에 오미크론 함유 백신을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 예상합니다.  

Novavax는 COVID-19가 계속 진화할 것이라는 사실을 감안할 때 다양한 변이체에 대해 광범위한 면역 반응을 제공하는 백신의 중요성을 계속 믿고 있습니다.

Novavax Statement on Prototype Vaccine’s Broad Immune Responses and Accelerated Focus on Omicron BA.4/5 as Recommended by the FDA

Novavax is awaiting US emergency use authorization for our prototype COVID-19 vaccine and we are committed to bringing it to market. Clinical data generated to-date demonstrate that this prototype vaccine offers broad immune responses including against circulating variants, such as the Omicron BA.4/5. 

Novavax is already well underway in our variant program and will accelerate our focus on Omicron BA.4/5, as recommended by FDA in their guidance on June 30th.  We expect to have additional preclinical data on Omicron BA.4/5 in the late summer or fall, and expect to be in a position to provide an Omicron-containing vaccine in Q4 of this year.  

Novavax continues to believe in the importance of vaccines that offer broad immune responses against a variety of variants, given the fact that COVID-19 will continue to evolve.
